I suspect there are more than a few people who post here that do very nicely on ebay, but I also believe it would spoil all our fun if any of them admitted it.
Okay you're on Martin's board and you know loads about ebay but we know stuff too and life's too short to take everything so seriously. Please allow us a bit of fun.0 -

lol, all depends on different factors, i made £300 in 24 hours yesterday, but that doesn in no way mean i will make that today, in fact, up to yet i have made about £30 so to put a figure on things is impossible for myself, sometimes i can make a grand in a month, some months i dont make anything.
its finding the right products, considering time of year etc
you can make lots of money, then again you might not0 -
I found a fiver down the back of my sofa. Sold the sofa on eBay for a fortune as I explained about the free fiver and said there could be loads more down there.
No returns on the sofa as per my listings, so I am well rid. The guy collected last night and paid by paypal so I am well happy.:rotfl:0 -
Ebay is like the lottery some times you win some times you don't. A lot of sellers on here probably started of selling items from within the house that they wanted to get rid of. Ebay is better than a car boot as you hit a wider audience and do not have to get up a 3am to drive the a car boot to set up shop. Ebay runs 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Once you find your niche market then you optimise this item. It may take years to find this niche or it may happen over night. I used to make a killing in wade miniature called whimsies. I would buy them from car boot sales for pennies and sell them for over £20 all the time. Then everyone got on the band wagon and I struggled to sell for 99p. We started selling these because of a clear out when we had some lying around the house and saw the potential of them, it was nice while it lasted. So even if you find the niche there will always be other people who see the potential of it and it could even be someone that you have sold to. So as I say it is a lottery, some you win and most of the time you don't.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0
