Hi, I have been to palma nova and magaluf many times as a single, young couple, and recently as a family, yes we are talking over 20 years. I like palma nova best, magaluf has got dirty and rough. The beach in palma nova is nice and cleaned every night. As for nightlife there are many lively bars which i am sure would accomadate teenagers. Not been to sanata ponsa but would imagine it to be quiet not really teenage material. If you do go avoid the pirates it will cost you over £100 not that good although reps will tell you its brilliant. There are also plenty of shops and the transfer is about 30 minutes.

Id suggest you are in the minority there.

I haven't been to majorca, but my friend went last year. She said it was very expensive to eat out, so bare this in mind.
She said it was costing them e100 for evening meal for 2 adults and 2 kids minimum.
They went to the algarve the year before, and a similar meal was e50.

It put me off Majorca personally as I had a similar experience in Salou a few years ago, everything was so expensive, and I hated having to watch my money all the time.

I think it depends on where you eat. I would suggest your friend ate in the top of market restaurants and Palma is probably more expensive. We usually eat for about 35-50Euros, that is for a main meal and a couple of drinks each for 3 adults.
