I joined in November & it's taken this long to come through! The current offer is a lot better £100 m&s voucher AND £100 cashback from Quidco. Ho hum!

I kinda failed today. Planned on a no spend day but ended up going out for lunch as my friend was stressed & we needed to get away from our desks. Lunch cost £3.70 :( I won't be doing it again! The food tasted like guilt! On the plus side we went to Boots first and I didn't buy anything...NOTHING! That's a first!

Other news, I bought some half price Dolmio that should feed me for 3/4 days as I already have pasta and salad. :)

Success! Just called Orange and moved to a cheaper tariff. Was on £35pm + £7 bundle for unlimited texts but now on £35 with unlimited EVERYTHING.

Happy to save the cash but annoyed Orange didn't let me on this tariff when I asked for a Best Plan review. Ho hum. Contract ends in November & I may vote with my feet.

    No spend day today :D

Had oats so simple again for brekkie & pasta for lunch. WINNING!

Fast approaching my first weekend as a DFW. BF wanted to go out on Saturday night but I have nought to wear (I really don't!) & I don't want to waste money when I've got perfectly good wine in the fridge! He's fine about it but seemed a bit shocked I'm actually sticking with this. MUST STAY MOTIVATED!

Going to make my £2.45 payment of the day. I would have spent this on lunch preMSE. :)

Oh also I should have added... I think I'm going to make regular payments to clear my overdraft, ideally £300 a month, but put that in my savings account. Once it adds up to £2000 & it's payday I'll transfer it over. :money:

BUT with any lump sums like my bonus in August or Quidco or EBay I'll send it directly to my credit card.

Feels better to clear the OD first although % is less, there's something motivating about having my bank account on the black & treating my CC as a loan with set amounts transferred each month (£200 then increasing to £500 once the OD is dead).

Anyway enough rambling... I should do some work but I just want to head home & drink wine in the garden :o

That was my thought exactly a glass of rose in the garden, i'd have to dig a chair out of the shed 1st, that'd b a challenge.:rotfl:
well done on what you've done so far though :T

  • Well I drank wine, a lot of wine! Feeling a wee bit worse for wear today :(

MSE really kicks in here as on a normal Saturday I'd be pottering into town in about an hour and be heading home 4 hours later with all the bags I can carry but alas times have changed so instead I'm going to eat eggs & soldiers and tidy up my boyfriend's house. He will be surprised!

It was a successful spend free day yesterday & I'm hoping to do the same today although BF wants to go to the pub later. Maybe he can buy me a cheeky diet coke. NO BOOZE TONIGHT!

Well I've spent :o BUT both things were very much needed. Replacement eye liner (£4.99). Usually buy Bad Gal by Benefit but got Maybelline liquid liner instead for a 3rd of the price so still still with MSE :money: AND I know it lasts for about 6months. WINNING!

Other purchase was 75p on non drowsy hayfever tablets. I'm dying
