This might be a bit radical but have you though about being a fregan? Thre are quite a few people in london that do it, it terrible what gets binned by shops.

Try a local food bank you may find one by googling. The local church may be able to help or salvation army.

Unlikely, a healthy person can survive for several weeks without food.

Water is a very different matter, anything much over a week without a drink is fatal.

Paypal often only takes 2 -3 days these days. My last transfer took 2 to my Natwest account. So, I;d get the transfer underway as it may be quicker than you expect.
