with £1 and what you have in stock i'd get value pasta (think about 30p)
have you no butter, milk, etc in fridge?
    think i'd pawn/sell something ?
    good luck

Tesco if local do some penne pasta for 18p http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=251477765

Do you have any friends or family you could borrow some food from if not cash?

Is there any change hanging around in coat pockets/side of sofa etc? If you could get say £3 that could be sorted without too much issue as you could survive on that for a few days ok. Some value yoghurts, value pasta, baked beans, bread you already have etc. Albeit not enjoyable you already have some veg which cuts out that to buy.

    Hi,

As the title says, I have £1 in my bank account yet quite a lot in my paypal. It takes quite a few day to transfer the money to my regular bank account. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on it quicker, or alternatively any way I can buy some food with my paypal balance?

    thanks so much
Could you lend 5 pounds off family to get some basic food.
Other thing i can think of is tranfer your money from paypal to bank it normally takes three - four days. So if you do that and borrow a bit until money comes.

Eggs are always useful; an omelette or frittata with the veg...

    beans, value range.

It's surprising what you can do when you have no choice. Use seasoning/herbs if you have them to help flavour.

Cup of rice and an egg you can make fried rice ... maybe not very appetising but it is filling and carbs will keep you going untill you get paid next!

Ask a mate if you can paypal him/her and have cash for it please. A mate will understand and what's more they'll trust you not to be trying it on.

EDIT: Just read through and someone's already said this, sorry for unintentional copying.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
