Chicken in restaurant

Hang on is this over a chicken or half a chicken that the OP didnt get but instead got 2 pieces of chicken(have i read it right), looks like the place ran out of half chickens maybe and used an alternative, you got your meal did you not ? what difference to the meal would half a chicken make ? none i expect
The point is that a chicken normally consists of two legs and two wings with breast meat in between - at least the ones I've got running round the garden look like that. What I got was four front halves when my expectation was two sides, although they did not define how they would cut in in half. There would be a difference to the meal, as legs have significantly more meat than wings.0 -
Personally, I'd cry fowl over this; it is clear the restaurant was just trying to wing it and feather their own nest. I suppose it could have been a !!!! up, but even so, I'd have expected the staff to be abreast of such cases. As far as compensation is concerned, because the OP was essentially legless he might have trouble proving a case (shell need to show the capacity to contract) but I think he is entitled to claim for the eggsessive stress; this is no yolking matter. I think if the OP writes a suitably worded letter (in lay terms) then they'll crack and hel'll be able to claw back some cash, even if it is only scratching the surface of the problem. It might also be worth asking trading standards to stick their beak in. You ever know, they might see if they can make a case fly.0

Sounds like a bit of a cluck up to me! Can't believe you missed that one lol :rotfl::T0 -
Joking and trolling aside..
OP - you should have raised the matter at the time, asked for an explanation, and offered to pay what you thought was reasonable for the (alledged) short measure.
Since you ate the meal and paid in full, I don't think you will have any recourse apart from any "Goodwill" gesture on part of the restaurant.
Lesson learnt I think...“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
Where does it say that half a chicken has to include a leg ? You can cut a chicken and have a half with 2 legs ! depends where you cut it surely ?0
