If you end up in the surgical stockings to prevent blood-clots after giving birth (I did, after 2 sections) then talc is handy after showering in order to get the stockings back on. Otherwise leave in for several years till the kids are old enough to go swimming and use it after there, again it helps ease clothes back on. That's if it doesn't 'clump' after a few years like mine did.

baby lotion used to be used with cotton wool for wiping babies bum of stubborn stains, more popular before wipes came along.

I had 1 child who had baby eczema, and another who didn't, so I'd wait and see, using a small amount on child initially.

I had the same problem, my sister in law gave me a huge bottle of baby lotion but my sons skin came up red raw so Im afraid I just threw it away, I had about 3 bottles of it. Seems a waste but theres not much you can do, charity shops arnt aloud to sell them in case they have been tampered with.

    Hi
Just want to continue to thank people who have posted so far. I tried using baby shampoo as washing up liquid today and it seemed to be ok and only needed a bit so very MSE :)

I am an adult and cant use baby products as they bring me out in a nasty rash! especially baby lotion! baby oil makes my eyes swell up - I use ordinary sunflower oil to remove mascara. I would bin them personally! but if they are unopened and you dont want them - then pass them on to charity shops or womens refuges.
