Your water softener will only condition the water entering the house. If the cylinder is scaled up and there is zero evidence that it is then the softener will NOT do anything to descale it apart from reduce future additions to the scaling.

Oh and if you've not exchanged contracts yet then you won't be moving in in April either.

I'm soooo impressed by their webpage it really beggars belief . I hope you have a very long time to wait then - 100 years or so probably if its as scaled as you claim.
