Bucketload of assumptions here. The reason for my thinking is that if it is the original, 30 years of hard water scale and it's not going to be much kop.
I'm taking my water softener with me which i know will eradicate the scale but I guess will take a long time on that much scale.

I'm open to corrections, but I don't think that water softeners will deal with existing scale. They only stop the build up form getting worse.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Are the taking your light bulbs and door handles also?
Or are you going to do what the people we bought our current house from and take every single curtain rail?
:rotfl:I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
I have a Fortic indirect cylinder in my airing cupboard with a red padded jacket on it and im not excited about it and wont be ripping it out anytime soon.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

water softeners are quite expensive and don't actually form part of the fixtures and fittings.
Re your curtain rails, it would have been on the sellers property information form whether they were leaving them or not. If your sellers ticked the box saying they were leaving them and did not, you could have sought redress via your solicitor. More fool you if you didn't check this :AMortgage free as of 10/02/2015. If the cylinder is that old, how old is the rest of the system?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Water softeners are permanently plumbed in, so I would dispute that. If I were your buyer, if I found that it had been removed without being specifically mentioned as not included in the f&f, then I would be looking for compensation or replacement. No free lunch, and no free laptop

My washing machine is plumbed in too (not integrated) but i'm not leaving that either.
Who said anything about it not being specifically mentioned as not included? In fact I told my agent before they marketed it that it wouldn't be included in the sale and my buyers therefore know this and have not asked for me to leave it.
Time to calm down you lot and keep on topic re the hot water cylinder.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
