Warning about Love Film

I was going to post this in the thread DVD rental but thought it important to post separately. I have recently been having problems with my Lovefilm subscription and facing appalling customer service looked on the internet and found this site
http://www.uk-dvd-rental-guide.com/dvd_rental_forum/viewforum.php?f=4&sid=26b6d0e7a193510b13179081ee833b6a
The reason I am highlighting moneysaving experts to this is not the appaling customer service but the fact that as detailed in the forum by other users the service is advertised as unlimited but it isn't. This is an appalling con and people are paying for a service they are not receiving.
Apparantly, the small print says that at their discretion if they think you are overusing the service they can restrict the number sent out. The people logging on the forum seem to be disabled or long term sick who are renting about 15 DVD's a month but find they are then being restricted to about 5.
As an aside - use this company for a free trial or their 3 months for the price of 1 but do not pay normally for their service as the number of DVDs you get may not be what you are paying for. The only customer service is by e-mail and getting a useful reply is impossible.

Reminisent of the 'unlimited' broadband service's that have a 'fair usage' clause in them.
Its all just a legalised scam. Now if they said that their service was limited I wouldn't have a problem.

i tried a trial with these guys and it sucks. The dvds u request dont come and becareful with free trial as they work it so that the thirty days coincide with them sending the last free video and if u dont getit back on the exact date u are screwed for the free period and have to pay for next month or so.
only do this if u are very good at reading small print and prepared for a mad dash to the post office to post back:j I sometimes give myself admirable advice, but am incapable of taking it.0 -
And send back last disc by recorded delivery just to cover yourself.0

I've been a trial-member for 5 days and so far I've had 2 of my top priorty requests, which is good (maybe lucky).
I'll be cancelling for sure though. I really don't like knowing what film I'm going to get when.0 -

A few days before your next payment date (make sure you allow for weekends), don't send your discs back until you've cancelled your membership first. Cancel your membership on-line and then send the discs back AFTER you have cancelled. That way they won't send you any replacements which take you into the next payment period!

https://www.screenselect.co.uk is the best online DVD rental people, IMO. I've tried Lovefilm, AMAZON and Blockbuster...none of them have the wide variety of DVD selections as Screenselect do plus the SS don't try any scams in cancellation either.0
