Vandalised car - Grr!
I park in a public mult-storey car park every day when I go to work.
This morning I was parking in a space when a guy raced up behind me and tried to get past as I was reversing. I wound my window down and asked him not to be so aggressive and got a load of verbal abuse back. I finished parking, he raced off to park on the next level up, still cursing me.
I came out of work this afternoon and went to get in my car and noticed that someone has scratched the 'C' word across the petrol filler cap flap. They've scratched right through the paint to the plastic underneath. I am fuming. I can only think the moron this morning did it out of spite.
It looks awful and I have tried T-Cut on it and it has made no difference. As it is so deep I am guessing that it will now have to be replaced. If so, is it an easy job for a girl to do? Or do I need a man (as in a garage) to do it for me?
Or is it worth having a go at sanding it out and trying to spray it? I'd like to keep the cost down as much as possible so am happy to give it a go. All suggestions welcome.
Yours gratefully,
Furious of Hampshire.

Well, at least you made me smile for the first time since I saw what had been done.
Obviously, it's a different 'C' word.

to be honest, You are not likely to sand it out and paint it to easily.
To fit a new one is a little fiddly on that model.

I guessed as much.
Looks like it's going to be a call to the insurance company for me then.

I'm gonna do better than that. I shall take our other car to work on Monday, wait until I see him park up and leave the car park and then etch his windscreen in foot high letters using my handy Dremel multitool.
He's got a big car so I should have plenty of room to let everyone know that he has a small penis...
