Who to make cheque out to..?

im just about to send the first letters asking for the past six years worth of charges and was wondering who i make it out to. im sending it to lloyds and hsbc

when I did mine I made it out to Abbey so I guess yours would be HSBC and Lloyds..

2. HSBC plc

Do I make the cheque payable to the data protection manager to whom the letter is addressed or do i make the cheque payable to abbey directly? i.e. pay abbey PLC £10.

I know this might seem like a silly question but i want to make sure I get this right.

Hi all,

I am in the process of asking the Abbey bank, plus Capital One and Barclaycard credit cards for a list of charges made by them. I'm waiting to write the cheques for £10, do I make these payable to 'The Abbey' 'Capital One ' etc or do i write 'data protection manager' etc??

Make payable to Abbey Bank etc, Its to cover their admin costs.

dont write a cheque out to capital one, phone the freephone number at the top left of your stement they send them out for nothing!!!
