Hi guys i tried this and it worked 100 %
Put your sim card in what you want to work in your phone. other than the one your phone is locked to.
it will say invalid sim.. type *#9998*3323# then a black screen should appear press where it says exit..select the Malloc Fail option.. then it should reboot and work.. i promise this worked for me, it was locked on vodafone uk and now im using virgin mobile...
let us know how you get on

just to clarify when you have to switch phone off ie going into hospitals you have to go thru the whole process again
