Unfortunately a fully tracked service to Greece will be very expensive.

The post office do "Royal Mail International Signed For". However, this name is completely misleading. The item is only tracked until it leaves the UK. It will then go to the local Greek postal service who will use a signed-for delivery if they have one, but you can't get proof of delivery or see the signature.

The only way to fully track a parcel going overseas is to use Parcelforce or a courier like UPS or Fedex.

I do think you need to try and get his UK address. If it goes to Greece and he's not there, you don't know who is currently living at his Greek address. He could easily deny knowledge of receiving it back.

I think to cover yourself it should be sent back to the address on Paypal, if he were a buyer I would ask him to update his paypal address. However as it's to return something the chances are he's not going to do that in time.
It may be worth calling paypal, however I've never had to phone them & don't know whether you will get anywhere with them.
