T-mobile shock
I have a T-mobile 24 month contract paying £15/month for 300 mins and 300 txts.
In January this year, I added the "flexible unlimited text" booster for £5 a month. I didn't check my Feb bil, but just saw my bank statement and almost died whren I saw a debit for £208. On my t-mobile account, they have charged me for 1600 texts sent in the past 6 weeks (I know - a lot, but my daughter uses the phone mostly!). For some reason, my Jan and March bills are online...but curiously not February! I found one posting that mentioned billing issues in February.
I called customer services, but they are closed now. I expect a battle in the morning! I don't think they emailed me confirmation, but I know I made the change, and I am sure I called up as well.
Anyone had this, or offer any advice? What if they deny it?!
Help please!
Gary

Hi, my wife had the same problem with the 'unlimited landline' booster. I have posted it on here - if you search the forums on 'chargeable flexible booster' you should find it.
We added the booster on-line and got an on-screen message saying it had been added ok. We then received a large bill with charges to landlines calls on it.
On phoning them they asked if we had received a confirmation text when we added the booster - we told them we hadn't - they told ud they had no record of us adding the booster - so we must pay the bill in full. Only after asking to speak to a manager and being persistent did we get the charges creditied back to our account.
So don't give-up, and you should get your money back.0 -
When a flexible mobile is added, they would normally send out a text to confirm.
The booster though does not come into affect till the next billing cycle begins - well at least it does not if you are swapping a flexible booster - for example unlimited text to unlimited internet.
If you lodge a nice complaint - no angry words and explain the situation, they will most likely let you off one time.0 -

Sorry, maybe i should have been clearer - it was about three months between the booster being added and us realising it hadn't actually been added - similar to the original post.
I know that boosters don't come into effect until the next billing cycle.0 -

Best option than is an online complaint - I have found t-mobile good at least trying to respond to complaints online - slightly easier to give them all the facts than phoning up and say everything in one go. They will phone you and hopefully offer you some sort of concession.0 -
another thing worth pointing out is that they only offered to credit half the amount initially, but we insisted on the full amount - to which they eventually agreed.0

Cool - sorry I thought I was responding to OP in my earlier reply :-)
Glad your case worked out - hopefully OP can do the same.0 -

They said that to me, but it actually came into affect the day I added it, yet it was about 7 days before my next due bill date.0 -
You have to be careful about the date when it actually commences. An aquaintance was stung for £270 by not realising that the booster hadn't come into effect. I've also been stung for over £200 by going over my call allowances once.0
