Thats probably because hers isn't a 3g phone and yours is ...even if your showing 5 bars with a 3g phone you will still drop calls if your in a bad area for 3g at the moment ....you need to turn 3g off and see what happens when you ring it

It is a bb bold (the new version) I am sure it does have 3g..could be wrong.

Fair enough it was just that you said earlier it wasn't as snazzy as yours ...

Sorry, yes it is. Hers is a less snazzy model than mine but same network.
So thought it might be without 3g ....I would still turn off 3g and see what happens though
It's not just about the money

Well the orange sales guy told me mine was the snazziest they did, better than the curve, better than the bold, it was the best, unbeatable!

Its random inability to take a basic voice call on this 'snazzy' handset has made me wonder which sales training school he attended :D

Well I couldn't be bothered reading all of the post, you should have said in your original post what network you were having a problem with so others could point you in the right direction.

If your problem is with Orange, forget writing to them it will get you nowhere, you want to send an email to executive.office@orange.co.uk and tell them whats happening and they will sort it out.

I cancelled my contract last month, after 5 months of rubbish service and didn't even have to mention taking them to court. But you need to speak to the Executive Office they are the only people with any authority.

So it's Orange? I have UMA too and it is brilliant 95% of the time.

Ah you must have been the customer who was using it while the rest of us had no service:D

Yes, at first it was a bit hit and miss, but now it is near perfect in my house.

Thanks for that post. I am going to wait about one more week, if I get nothing, I will send an email to the address you provided.
I didn't name and shame to start with as I was hoping they would respond to my communications and I would not need to disclose who it was, but a poster guessed anyway lol.

£37.50 per month (x18) is a lot for me especially when it seems under 50% of the calls I receive ever get through to me. There is a Orange mobile mast very close to where I live, I have had orange in the past and most of my family have Orange (due to the good signal) and have never had issues.

Thanks again for your post and that email.
