aol billing troubles

I have been a loyal customer to AOL and talk talk for many years now and in June 2007 I went to talk talk for calls and free broadband with the understanding Talk Talk were part of AOL, and therefore the dial up contract would be cancelled.

I have continued to pay AOL monthly for AOL broadband and recall when I queried this with AOL I was told I had to still pay them or I would lose my email account.

It transpires I have been paying for the dial up even though this has not been used since June 2007.

Today AOL billings offered me six months compensation, when I talked with the cancellation team they would only offer me credit for the last 2 months payments.

Talk Talk have confirmed I have had broadband since 5 June 2007, and it is illegal for two providers to charge for the same service.
