Vodafone's new scam
My vodafone mobile internet software has a feature that allows you to set a data limit, my limit is 3 GB per month, so i set it at 2 GB, now i get a bill for £37 extra charges, i've told them their software is not fit for purpose, and i am not liable for this bill, have i got a leg to stand on?
Ps. i spent a year getting T mobile to drop a bill for £600 for 3 days mobile internet, which even they agreed was physically impossible, it went through 3 different bailiff companies ! Mobile Phone companies are truly evil !

Looking at Voda's tariffs, there is no 3Gb per month option, so how sure are you of your limit?0

Could be a retentions deal?Looking at Voda's tariffs, there is no 3Gb per month option, so how sure are you of your limit?
I'm pretty sure the app will have a disclaimer saying that the limit is there as a guideline and shouldn't be used for budgeting purposes, just like all providers that agree to cap you at £x over your standard line rental.0 -
Ridiculous charges for going over though. But they do need to cover the F1 costs...0

Just becacause the software sets a limit that doesn't mean the tarrif covers that amount of data. Did the software cut you off as 2GB or did it keep going?
What Tarriff are you on for your dongle?0 -
I called them today and they admitted their software was at fault, and refunded the extra charges, in fact it was exellent customer service ! something i never thought i would say about a phone company.
The 88mb iv'e lost downloading a new version of the software i am not happy about, i am never satisfied am i !0 -
And to think the others in the thread were basically stating you were to blame.
