Flying Ryanair - Large Passengers?

Hello,
I've booked flights for me and the OH to go to Faro, Portugal in a few weeks. Only thing is I'm a lot heavier than I was when I last flew. My OH is 6ft4 and thinks he might also struggle. I'm quite worried now!
Does anyone know the seat sizes and length of seatbelt?

Much appreciated

Seat pitch is 30inches, and a 17inch width - basically pretty tight, with no recline.
You may consider priority boarding to stand the best chance of bulkhead or exitrow seats.
I think you can purchase an extra seat to give you both extra space.
Dont stress about the belt length as it's very long, and they carry extenders anyway.

I'm 6ft 2" and have flown a fair few times with RyanAir. I wouldn't say it was comfortable, but if it's a short flight, I'd imagine the extra 2" wouldn't really make much of a difference. I can easily put up with it for the few hundred quid I normally save by going with them.

Not sure about width size I'm afraid.

I'm 6"7, and regularly fly Ryanair/Easyjet. The fact that the seats on many of the LoCo carriers don't recline is a major plus for us lankey gits - the short ar5e in front can't cripple your knees 30 seconds after take off.

Emergency exit rows in the middle of the plane fill up quickly - your best chance of getting one is to board via the REAR doors on the plane, not the front.

However, you've got virtually no chance of getting a bacon butty unless you sit in the front or rear 3 rows of the plane. I need my early morning Butty.

Worst flight in recent years was on a Monarch 757 charter. I now actively avoid Monarch. BA aren't much better. But the worst bit is usually the coach transfer from the airport to the resort on a package holiday.
  • TBH I've found most Ryanair passengers generally aren't savvy enough to know about the existence of exit rows let alone snap them up quickly. I've given up flying Ryanair nowadays but when I did I was frequently one of the last few people on the plane and almost always got an exit row seat. If you want 2 together that's a different story.
  • This is what Ryanair say about booking an extra seat. It'll cost you, of course, but I notice no mention of air passenger duty. Should you have to pay tax for your imaginary friend?

To book an extra seat for comfort go online and select 2 seats the first seat should be booked in the actual passenger's name and the extra seat should be entered as COMFORT SEAT as the Last Name and EXTRA as the first Name. The name EXTRA COMFORT SEAT will then be displayed on the reservation and online boarding pass.... If you are unable to locate two seats together on the aircraft please contact our cabin crew as they will be in a position to ensure that you have two seats together
