    Absolutely vital in this case. They need torquing for a reason, and must be tightened in the correct sequence, too. I tend not to use a torque wrench for wheelnuts, although when I was in the motor trade I would do, bearing in mind an airgun can be deceivingly excessive!

    Yes. Reading what I wrote back, I said I don't use a torque wrench for sump bolts, just important stuff. Well, a sump bolt obviously is important as you don't want to dump oil everywhere or strip the thread. That was a bad example!
