Another PPS scam

Just returned from a trip to Amsterdam with P&O Hull using my bosses car. Got to the port as usual got directed to parking by P&O staff and told to get a ticket from the machine for £10 and put on dashboard this all done only after standing in line in the pouring rain for over half an hour and paid by credit card. On our return we found a Parking Charge Ticket attached to the car pay £30 now or £100 later. I got in touch with PPS to find out what the ticket was for, they said the ticket I displayed was a sales receipt not a parking ticket I said there was only one machine and only one ticket which i displayed the £10 was taken from my credit card the next day. They are not interested in any explanation nor may i add are P&O ferries who directed us to the car parking I have been going there for years never any trouble before will not be going again. So beware if parking at Hull Terminal scammers About.

I presume you know to ignore the B*****ds and not pay them a thing.

Whats their problem then ? its a reciept you muppets for parking ! durrrrr, paid and can prove it. Id write back and beg them to take you to court - judge would have a field day.

NCP at Leeds issues two tickets if paying by card first one issued is the reciept follwed a good few seconds later by the ticket, so if you are in a rush its quite feasable to pay and grab the first ticket then leave whilst the proper ticket is delivered.

Anyhow dont worry about it its another scam as you quite rightly said, so ignore them and the carp that comes with it.

Don't pay anything, the invoice is not enforceable at all, if they dared take you to court you got an iron clad defence, you paid! Keep safe the ticket you displayed

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Total damages endured by the landowner is zero, so they can only sue you for zero, as you have already paid the parking cost.
  • Told them I will see them in court.

    Think he's fishing for compliments?..:p
  • This happened to my dad yesterday. He went to the local retail park to pick an item up from argos and while he was away getting a ticket the idiotic car park attendant gave him a fine. When dad got back to the car with his paid ticket and saw the fine he told the attendant to cancel it and the attendant just said 'I can't you'll have to appeal in writing'. My dad is 70 years old and recently suffered a stroke so doesn't need worries like this, when he got home he was beside himself with worry! I have called the company and told hen it will not be paid and I want it revoked and an apology letter sent or I will be going to the local paper and plastering it all over Facebook. I can imagine life could be difficult for this parking attendant if his face was plastered everywhere and people knew what a disgusting human being he is! If they think they can take advantage of people they can think again.
