boiler not firing, no water or heating????

    Im sure your guy has tested it already, but if not its just a continuity test across the switch with a multimeter.
    If it is blocked it would take half an hour to remove and clear, or replace if necessary. It doesn't take much to block them tbh.

    I had a similar problem with my combi.
    For me, the solution was:

    Turn off boiler at the mains.
    Turn on hot tap full blast.
    Whilst the water is running, turn the main switch on again.
    Yay...hot water and heating!

    Dunno why this worked, but it's what 'google' told me to do,and it worked!

    jolaaled you got us all excited , hot tap was running ,switch flicked , NOTHING.......!!!! DOH !!

    Oh well worth a try, had some quotes come back , looks to be around £1300 , ouch.

    £300 to get a crap boiler up and running or £1300 to fit a better boiler with better hot water thats good for 15 years?
