Virgin Rewards - cash in and make yourself some dosh!

Signed up to the NTL/Virgin £10 a month contract yesterday and then the sales rep tried to sell me a new phone.

Although I didnt want one it actually turned out to work out in my favour!

A while back I got a letter from Virgin stating I could have £20 off any phone on their website - this was a cash reward earned by me for the amount of airtime I had purchased with my pay-as-you-go phone.

I was able to use that £20 reward to buy a new Nokia 1112 mobile which came with a new Sim with £5 airtime on it, a £10 airtime voucher in the package and £10 Glue airtime for buying another phone when I am an existing Virgin user.

So for £5 + £2.99 delivery I got a new Nokia with new Sim and £5 airtime for it and £20 aitime for my existing phone - the Nokia was £25 on the website so take off the £20 Virgin Reward and it was just a fiver!

Not only that but my hubbie had the same reward so we ordered two phones and they knocked off the second delivery charge!

So 2 x Nokia 1112 each with a new Sim and £5 airtime and a total of £40 airtime for our existing phones - costing us £12.99 in total.

Then I am listing them for £19.99 each + £5 delivery on eBay - the Nokia 1112 goes for around £20-£35 on there!

Totally daft - I am quids in for the £12.99 I paid out.

As we didnt want to change from our current Motorola phones it was worth using up the Virgin Rewards this way.

So if there are any other Virgin Reward holders out there - have a look on their website for cheap phones with lots of airtime and then go flog them on eBay!

Totally legal, the sales rep said it was daft but what the hell - Christmas is looming and you can either give the phone as a prezzie, keep it is a spare or flog it!
I eBay, you eBay, we eBay.... just do it!!!!!
