what is a better bb bold9780 or bb torch?

Battery life better on the Bold. Keypad also a bit wider and easier to use if you're familiar with the BB layout. Also weighs less.
Torch better for media - wider video file support. Screen also larger (though lower-pixel count). Camera has a few extra features like geo-tagging and image stablisation though I'm not convinced it's that much better."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"

Torch has a physical slider qwerty and touchscreen keypad, Torch is most defo the better, used one in Orange store whilst trying to make a move to another UMA/Signalboost handset but alas Orange Care would not cover me like for like for a replacement from my 3rd faulty HTC Touch 3G (terrible phone with even the 2nd and last HTC ROM update with Orange Windows Mobile 6.5 software & radio but used it sucessfully with another mobile operaters UMA software & radio)....needless to say I went to the Financial Ombusman Service as Orange Care were offering me a older NON UMA handset - the Touch Pro 2 as it was Windows Mobile, Orange customer services offered me a circa £50 replacement LG UMA phone (i had one already as a payg purchase & UMA was not stable at all) not suitable as it has no proper operating system to download apps I used (or tried to use with UMA & network signal issues on Touch 3G), I declined and said no Lifestyle Services Group trading as Orange Care were in breach of T&C on mutliple failures on 2 counts, so thankyou but no thankyou I'll let FOS
handle it.
Torch all the way ! the Orange store staff let me play with one for over an hour knowing my prediciment but alas I upgraded to Pearl 3G whilst my insurance dispute is STILL ongoing as I needed a functional mobile outdoors and functional UMA indoors.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I have a Torch. Once you get used to it being heavier I've had no problems with it. You have said you're not keen on the touch screen, there is always the slide out keyboard which I tend to use more. Just find it quicker.
At the end of the day it's down to you what you prefer. I have a Bold 9700 for a back up so I've used both.0 -

was in an O2 store today asking the same question and the advice i got from the guy was to go for the Bold 9780. He said it's battery life was longer, much easier to text etc. He had the Bold 9780 as his own phone0
