That's why I am only with them I left them years ago because of bad service not that my primary factor was price of calls as I dont make that many anyway

But you are with them for line rental and quite happily take advantage of the fact they allow you to use 18866 . By the way 18185 is cheaper in many cases.;)

This is not in defence of BT in any way - I have had more than my fair share of run ins with them, however thay are now offering line rental for £10 a month if you pay the 12 months up front. Just ran through it on the webbernet as I thought there must be a catch - there usually is with BT - and the total was what it said on the tin £120 for 12 months line rental.

    Heres the downside !!

Things you need to know about Line Rental Saver

    • Only available with paper-free billing (view your bill online and receive no paper bill)
    • You must set up Direct Debit to cover any call changes made throughout the year
    • You need to make at least two BT calls per month to avoid monthly charge of £1.50 being added to your bill
    • Line Rental Saver payment is non-refundable
    • At the end of the 12 months you'll revert to monthly line rental unless you tell us otherwise
    • If you currently get a discount for paper-free billing, this will stop
    • Some calling plans aren't available with Line Rental Saver. If this is the case we'll let you know and you can then choose to change your Calling Plan or remain on monthly line rental

I only use BT for line rental, I dont use them for calls, broadband etc
    ?!?!? :rotfl:

So why are you complaining? You gets whats you pays for. You shouldn't really be a member of a site like this if you find that annoying.

You choose to embrace a free market. You choose to embrace not having to subsidise other customers through call charges (or, in your case, them not subsidising you). You then turn around and plead innocence at the inevitable increases of line rental.

There is no such thing as society. That is what Britons have voted for both in the ballot box and with their feet.

Eh because the rise is 3rd in a year, shall I ask you permission next time to see ether you improve of whether I have a valid complaint or not. Nope dont think I will

What is happening to make it 3rd increase in just over 12 months?

I doubt customers subside me, I hardly use the phone
