Just thought I would congradulate myself, as I mentioned earlier I picked up several Cheltenham racing free bet tokens on the train this morning, one of them came in at 9-1
Kerching!
£20 for picking up a few old newspapers off the train. (Perhaps that last bit isnt really much to be proud of!!)
If I had discovered MSE this time last year I may not be going down the road to BR

Hi all and welcome new posters
Wow...winning on the geegees at Cheltenham..via a FREE bet! Now that's MSE!
Today has been a fairly LSD but did buy lunch out. No help for it unfortunately as on a train.
Today I:
- did washing at 30 as usual
- checked banking. All OK
- heard that OH has NOT been made redundant..so we are celebrating in a low key way..fish and chips:T:rotfl: oh how times have changed...!
- charged phones on train
- desperately needed a mascara and got a Clinique one free with Glamour. Now that's a result. ( Result No.2 was thinking about but putting down the
other copies of the mag I wanted for the other samples..girls this 10th anniverary Glamour magazine deal ( about 8 different beauty sample options,
all Clinique) looks like a seriously good MSE deal!..sorrybut it does!)
- prepared a beef stew..shin I think so cheapish cut..put into SC with veggies and pearl barley for bulking it all out..for eating tomorrow
Think that's it. V relieved re OH. Didn't think it would happen but his mind set if it had would not have been good...as you can imagine. Especially as I am leaving my work at end of this month...
Have a good evening all

Hello all,
I got back early this morning, have been so busy had no time to catch up with the thread so will do that later! Hope everyone is well.
Today I have:
Done washing and hung to dry
Went to registry office to get wedding license
Appointment at wedding venue cleared up some issues
Registered with an agency
Collected my cats
Took nan to docs
Went to the shop
Paid in £19 refund cheque
Posted test parcel and ebay parcels
Done the dusting
I will:
Upload my holiday photos
Clean the bathroom
Have a shower and do my nails
If I have any energy left I will vacuum the house through, if not its tomorrows job!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Hi all,
I used to post regularly on this thread, but slipped out of the habit - though my DFW ways have continued, I would like to focus more I think!
I currently spend most of my time on here now lurking in the competitions, can be quite profitable
So today:
- checked online banking (£50 in from Quidco :T)
- Packed lunches all round
- tea from meal plan (HM Macaroni cheese)
- LSD - just some toast at work (gotta stop that) and some garlic bread to go with the mac cheese
- washing on 30 degrees & hanging on airer
Still to do:
- competitions
- Ironing  grr
Good to read through the thread & feel the enthusiasm coming though, thats what I've missed I think!
Debt wise - its coming down, my mum very kindly has cleared one credit card, so we are paying her back interest free, so every £100 is going off the full amount, instead of £60 going in interest. My mum is an angel :A She was horrified at the amount going in interest, which is why she offered
Other stuff is pretty much under control, monthly budgets can be a bit wobbly, but the debt is going DOWN not up which is the most important thing!
Take care everyone x0 -
