Is Oil Cental heating more expensive?

We're looking at renting a property and it uses oil fueled central heating. Is this more expensive than conventional gas heating? We have looked around but can't seem to find a thread which answers this....

Yes, much more so. Oil CH probably around 4.5p kWh compared to gas at 3p?

Oil is currently around 58p a litre so nearly twice the price of gas.
The problem with CH oil is the price is so volatile.0
