    Hi julesvodafonecomplaint

Thank you for your post relating to your international charges.

After reading your post, I can see where the confusion may have come to light over using international texts compared to using international data.

However, I would like to double check the charges on your account for you, and if there are any discrepancies in charging, we’ll certainly be in a position to help sort this out for you.

If you e-mail us via Contact Us on the Vodafone UK website, using WRT135 as the subject, and a link to this post on MSE, we’ll certainly look to help wherever we can.

    Many Thanks

Generally speaking we should be able to request for the amount which has been adjusted to be returned to your bank account via BACS so I'm not really sure why you've been advised otherwise.
THE CUSTOMER SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. YOU SHOULD DO IT AUTOMATICALLY. I know of no-one who would rather have the money from your !!!!-ups taken off the next bill
However, it's worth bearing in mind that the refund can take in the region of ten working days.

Justify the 10 day delay. BACS can be within an hour or two of FastPay and there's CHAPS. Yes CHAPS costs more but it is YOUR mistake. It is absolutely disgusting that a customer should have to wait 10 days for their money back.

These things do happen, believe it or not a lot of people are happy for money to remain in their mobile phone account if it's going to be money they'll be paying anywyay.

The cost's still going to get passed onto the customer at the end of the day. Having the systems in place for that would cost quite a bit to implement which again will be paid for by the customer and used relatively little when customers can simply make indemnity claims.

Most will choose to vote with their feet come the end of the contract. If the telco doesn't want to have to pay for this, they shouldn't make the mistakes.

No doubt there'll be the usual bleating about it "being the computer" but I've been in IT longer than Vodafone have existed and computers only give an output based on what is inputted - GIGO - Garbage In, Garbage Out.

I've just ended my Vodafone contract, sick of their high prices. Have ported my number to giffgaff. Credit to Vodafone they gave me my PAC code straight away over the phone. But really I was sick of seeing all the great deals out there and Vodafone just wanted my money and didnt care about the value I was getting. Well they can stick it up their McLaren exhaust pipe.
