Domain Hosting
Discharge

Until recently, I had Fast24 hosting my domain. All I need is for them to hold the master DNS record and provide me with mail and web forwarding, and a control panel to manage this.
Well of course Fast24 disappeared so when I had control of my domain back I switched over to 123-reg, thinking that as part of Pipex they might be around a while. Just 3 weeks into my relationship with 123-Reg they're losing half of my e-mails and the ones that are getting through are delayed by hours and hours. Their web site suggests they're reconfiguring their mail servers due to the volume of spam hitting them. This has been going on since the weekend and they still seem to be struggling.
Can anyone recommend a hosting company for DNS hosting and e-mail forwarding. It's a trivial amount of money so I don't mind spending a little over the odds for a company that can provide a reliable service.
Thanks for your help.

http://editdns.net/ provide free DNS hosting and email forwarding and have been around for quite a while.
You might want to think about using Google for what you want though as you can do what you want for free within the 123-reg control panel.
https://www.google.com/a/
You need to have a gmail account to sign-up (if you want to go this route and require one just let me know) and then all you need to do is to change the MX records of the domain. You can use Googles forwarding system to send the mails to your other address, or simply pick them up under your domain and reply to them in the Gmail interface, or access them using the free pop service. You can choose to archive messages in Gmail's interface too effectively giving you a 2GB archive per email account. Users come in blocks of 25 upto 100.
Additionally if you do this then you can have Google Start Page, Web Pages, Calendar and chat all running using your domain name.
They advertise it as a beta product but it has been 100% reliable in the 8months or so that I have been using it, in fact "Google for your domain" as they call it now handles ALL of my email excluding the ISP email.0
