EXPIRED - GLITCH!? Easter Eggs £1 BUY 1 GET 2 FREE! @ Tesco *****

Whilst bad manners and customer service is inexcusable, i think some people need to remember that all the way through this thread, people were dubious whether Mr T would honour the pricing, not only were we looking to take advantage of the £1 eggs on a B1g2F (should have been £2.50), we were also loking to take advantage of a pricing glitch where it knocked £5 off normal shopping every 3 eggs we did order!!
I love grabbits, and take advantage of them where I can, but some dont work, some dont get honoured, its just the luck of the draw. You just appreciate the ones that come through
The fact that some people feel the need to write to Mr T to complain that they didnt honour a pricing error where, you could order 54 Easter eggs, plus £60 worth of shopping, and it only charged £22.54 including delivery (i was playing with the figures!), I'm not sure he'll be overly sympathetic!!!0 -
Went into the store this morning - Tesco Metro in Smithfield - and they are buy 1, get 2 free on the shelf. Maximum buy is 12 eggs - used self-service (with SA watching sharply as I was buying) and scanned as buy 1, get 2 free - so 9 eggs for £7.50, so reasonably pleased. Not what was happening online yesterday but never mind.¿Alguien ha visto a mi nave espacial?
Biting is excellent. It's like kissing, only there's a winner.0 -

I appreciate that sometimes we're lucky with a price glitch and sometimes not but in my defence to your comment about, I hadn't ordered 54 Easter eggs and had ordered nearly £200 or shopping so wasn't trying to get 'free' shopping, just hoped that it would help 'ease' my bill and mean that I could be very generous around the children in the family this year
As for complainng, I worked for years in customer services and we always liked to know if customers were unhappy so I do write, however I am also equally as quick to write and praise good service as well (and have done so with Tesco in the past in fact!!) so I will still write and make my observations

i agree it was silly of people to think they would honour the price glitch were it knocks money off and you get a weeks shopping for £10 including easter eggs for the whole street
but i do think tesco is wrong as the eggs have been a £1 the same as asda for a few weeks no special offer mentioned on them and then they have incresed the price to £2.50 to do a special offer which in my eyes is wrong also as the saving is actually only 50p which should be stated not that they are buy 1 get 2 free
the offer should be buy 2 get 1 half pricewins so far l'oreal volume mascara ,raw organic liquid soap, family ticket to gullivers world, fun to see room makeover kit :T0 -

The offer label said "better than half price" with original price £2.50 crossed off and replaced by £1.
I saw this on loads of labels next to the eggs.0 -

Im worried now, i have had no email (i ordered 12 eggs i think) so i went to the tesco website and it says my order has been 'picked' so where do i stand on the offer? the guide price is still £2.31.0

I recieved my order this morning, which included 15 eggs, although i had a phone call stating only 12 allowed, at £1 each buy one get 2 free. so i got 15 eggs for £5 very pleased.
