I just had a call from tesco , a very nice young man who apologised and told me my order had been canceled as the promotion was incorrect but by way of apology he's sending a £6 e voucher :-) nothing lost and something gained :-)

I just got a call too saying it was £2.50 for 3 and you were only allowed 12 eggs! I had 24 haha DOH

Me too, I asked if the 12 eggs limit applies instore too, he said yes. Yeah right, well why does it let you order more than 12 then...

Anyway, could be a good glitch instore with DTD if any of the £1 SELs are missed :)

Mine cancelled too - I'd ordered enough for my two youth club groups - and they refused more than 12 as well! That's going to take some doing, going in and out of the store multiple times to buy them .... grrrrrr. No offer of £6 either, but no better, no worse off!!!

Cancelled here as well although I didn't get a call or email - I just went in to add more to my order and it chucked them out of my basket when I updated it :(

They're being really cheeky though as I was in Tesco earlier and the eggs were £1 each so basically they're putting the price up to make you think you're getting a REALLY good deal whereas it's actually you are only saving 50p . I feel an email to that nice Chief Exec coming on .............

Thanks, I have been twice and tried to add them again but they wouldn't stay in my basket.
I only want 3 and I'm happy to £2.50 for them but they won't let me have them.

They show oos. I'm hoping for an upgrade maybe? :P though looking at the easter aisle tonight I can't possibly imagine it is really out of stock.

Does anyone know if the customer services calls are recorded? I would love to phone them up and tell them to listen to the recording that I had last night. The guy was rude and kept huffing at me.
Obviously I am going to write a strong letter to the chief executive, with my screen print to show what all the fuss is about!
I've been shopping at Tesco for years and never hada problem with people being rude to me.
Wouldn't mind, he only sounded (and acted) about 12!
