All of this makes me so glad that stick to John Lewis for purchases like these. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

Actually Esqui, KnowHow now has Apple's permission to repair Macs/Macbooks/Pro's and is a AASP.0

Awesome. Our store doesn't sell Macs, so I don't ever get the chance to book them inSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

I think Comet do it too with certain goods. Like washing machines for example which have a 1 year guarantee. Buy a Hoover washing machine from Comet and they'll send out their own engineers to repair it rather than Hoovers. I guess it's cheaper for them to provide the service themselves.0

That's a change then. Long time back I used to work for Servis. Comet would pass guarantee calls to us.
They also kept machines that they had accepted as returns in their warehouse and when they had enough of any given make (washing machines, tumble driers, dishwashers etc) they would call for one of our engineers to work through them. Then they'd place them back in store discounted as refurbished.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
