Ipad prepay sim card - what's best?

It would need to be the GSM/GPS model for a start. AS to who's best, do remember that the iPad is sold unlocked so you can choose whoever you like, BUT unless you are planning to use lots of data, WiFi is faster (and cheaper) as an alternative. The downside is that at the moment, you cannot make or recieve calls or send or recive SMS texts, so in my view the prices charged by the networks are vastly overpriced.0

You can get data only SIMs, Three do some reasonable ones, see here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/31077940

Amazon where selling Three network Data Sim 3GB or 3 months which ever comes first for under £8 a couple of weeks ago and unless you're a big data user then that should last 3 months, therefore under £2.75 a month, but you will need to cut the sim down to fit.

I use an old Vodafone 1GB sim that doesn't expiry after 1 month, it cost me £10 off eBay and still on my first 1GB, I got it 7 months ago & still have most of the credit left, so should last me 2yrs+; but it's only of use if your a very light data user, again you need to cut the sim down to fit.

I've heard that Orange give 250mb of data and 750mb BTOpenzone wifi free per month for 12 months with there PAYG iPhone 4 sim, you have to buy the sim (£15) and put £10 of credit on it, now it's a micro sim but it's for an iPhone not an iPad so not sure if they will block you if you tried this... But I've just ordered 2 free orange sims (full sized), I'm going to try and ask them for the PAYG tariff for my 3GS and see if they will give me the same deal as their iPhone 4 tariff and if so cut it down, that way it will save me the £15 (still might have to put £10 on it, but that's for the year, if all goes to plan and I'm not blocked. I'll use this sim when away and using more data, to save my Vodafone credit).

They are the cheapest ways I know of, unless you go down the tethering route.0
