  • If this is the big problem, how did the OP manage to get a Tesco, Virgin and Natwest card?

    ER shouldnt be a problem for someone with such a substantial credit card history. The problem is likely to lie with amount of credit compared to earnings / credit used / and exposure as well as the missed payments which in this day and age is a KILLER to a new application.

    @izools - I checked it probably a month ago, a few missed payments a year or so ago. since then, I've not missed payments or been late etc.


    0% cards are usually only offered to people with very good credit records

    you are not on the ER
    your income is low
    you use your OD regularly which is often looked at as some-one struggling with money

    consider getting on the ER
    and stop going into your OD

    then apply for a decent card in 6 months or so.
