Hi Annie, glad to hear your good news, so glad things are going well for you.
Count me in for a drink too, I love Via Fossa. Will book into Hotel of Mum & Dad for the night as they're not too far from Manchester! I'll be the one with a big bump, glaring at a glass of lemonade whilst casting occasional whistful glances at the vodka bottles!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Great stuff! DO try to make it if you can(know you live in hte posh bit of the country but am sure that it will be a night never to be forgotten!!!!!!!!!!! As for asking after your daughter well I may not b too wll at the mo but thankfully what passs for my brain(have got on ehonst!!) is still working and I've not become self centerd or self absorbed. Really glad she is improving pizza often helps!!! As for the booze...........Well, I was a student in Manchester and during the course of my degre I got dumped by the (then!) great love of my life. I drank the entire stock of cherry B from the student union!!!!(in ONE aftrenoon/evening session) ah happy days!!!!!!!!!!!!(Idont drink cherry B now by the way-well not often got some last christmas and they are still here untouched). Also the student union does the finest chips and gravy in the entire world. This is a FACT and not some wuss opinion-probably the cure for lots of ailments as well.Anyway much love to your M/C daughter, and to the one that has just moved as well.rog2 wrote:Annie - I am so sorry, but you know that most people only take grapes to people who aren't well so that they can eat them themselves:rolleyes:
I would have pm'd you but we did not plan on being in Manchester for long.
Thank you for asking after my daughter - it is great to know that with all your problems you still have time to think of others:A :A Well, she has pleurisy (check spelling) but is fully dosed up with antibiotics, so it didn't stop her from allowing us to take her into Didsbury, where she managed to devour the largest pizza I have ever seen  she is getting better - we offered to bring her home but she has a couple of essays to do. At least the house she is now renting is warm, clean and comfortable (not like that awful flat  ) and her housemates are 'reasonably' sensible. Her biggest problem is that she can not drink because of her medication  that, to a student is like being deprived of oxygen.
We did go into town, for a couple of hours, and had a look around the Christmas Market in Albert Square.
I had to park the car in Canal Street - so know I know where it is, you'd best count me in for that festive drink.
Anyway - keep on getting better and thanks for the update:grouphug:Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

DH came out with a very witty comment regarding our p!ss up. He said that it will be easy to see who we are as we will be the group sitting in the pub in front of one drink with a lot of straws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
