When you check in - usually the "screen' above the check ing wil have the flight numbers that are checking in at that desk. As (I assume) you have a "one world partnership" (BA and others do deals with other airlines so customers can fly on routes not operated by BA (Virgin and Continental do Orland/London).
Anyhow, the AA desk wi show (probably) BA XXXX & AA XXXX to "Wherever".
If you are not sure still, when you get to the teminal, don't start looking - go straight tto the airport info desk and ask them, they'll direct you/tak you to the right desk.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

Nothing stopping them ...bringing their own on board.
I thought there was some restriction against this, at least on US airlines...something along the lines of only consuming alcohol served by the airline.
