I think the bodies have been buried in secret. It's all part of the global conspiracy. Get with the program, Gen.

Soylent Green has arrived 10 years early.

Radiation is a long term thing also people vary how well they deal with it.

The immediate danger I agree is over played, it was a horrible screw up but the actual fallout I dont think killed that many.

The radioactive water is not an immediate danger, again its a case of long term pollution and cancerous effects

    Some radiation is long term.

Yes individual reactions to radiation vary. Much like any toxin.

The danger is overplayed by some.

Radioactive water is of concern if there's enough of it. Radiation concentrates itself through the food chain but I'd suggest the amount of radiation released by Fukishima into the water will probably be negligible as it dilutes.
How about sunken nuclear subs? Is anyone creating fake radiation maps of them? Gordon?

UN Ambassador: “No Exaggeration – Fate Of The World Depends On Fukushima Reactor 4”
http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2012/05/02/ambassador-exaggeration-fate-world-depends-fukushima-reactor-4-128701/ As an engineer I can attest this COULD BE the most important story of all. My late brother-in-law was a PhD Nuclear scientist and helped design this plant. With my background working for the AEC at one time we used to talk about the nuclear power plants he helped design. He told me the ones in Japan were the Achilles Heel as so much money was transferred from backup safety systems to pay bribes totalling (he said) over a billion dollars. He used to tell me "Fukushima will be the end of humanity if Fukushima is ever heavily damaged. He eventually became so disgusted that he quit working for General Electric (the prime contractor) from his part-time consulting firm in Arkansas (he was the head of all departments at the University of Arkansas for many years with his department being "Civil Engineering" (that included power generation from nuclear to coal powered plants). I follow Fukushima closely but almost no one else does.

http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/TEPCO-TBS-JNN-Fukushima-Live-HD-Video-Stream-Webcam-Feed.html live feed from Fukushima but things have worsened the last 12 hours -- so they turned off the video feed. They now say ALL workers who have worked there since 2011 who had been told the radiation level was "safe" that they "miscalculated" and all will be dead within ten years (but their families will receive pensions). Life goes on.

Hmnnn, seems like you can find any sort of crap in blogs these days. Doesn't mean that they are true though does it? :rotfl:

Well with your history of level headed and reasonable posting who could not sit up and take notice?

Good job we know who to blame and who to vent at when it all goes wrong.

See post #509 re. the stupidity of this picture. Maybe it's because there is nothing to panic about?

Things possibly happening in Japanese government recently Ive read, a bit like the USA government they cannot self finance without continually raising more debt then doing QE but the opposition is trying to force an election apparently.

I was watching Obama's speech. He is a nice guy, he says lots of we wont do that as if there will always be a choice. Being a leader to me is about difficult decisions no one will thank you for, every head of a family knows you dont always get to be the nice guy. I dont see why leading a country should be any easier. Japan, many parts of Europe all face the no win decision, triage is more apt then fancy speeches
