Hijackthis, how do I post log on here?

I bought my grandson a laptop some months ago. It now takes ageeeeeees to start up. As I have no ideas what programs to remove, I though (from reading on here) that I should download Hijackthis and post a log of what is on laptop. Seems to be a lot of stuff from Toshiba on there.
Downloaded but I don't know how to post results. Is it just copy and paste?:o

Help, please.

    Alternative solution.
Click on ctrl-alt-del => open task manager => note down CPU Usage % at bottom of popup. If no high CPU usage .exe exists, then continue Hijack this method.

To post the HijackThis log, save the log file first as a text file. Then open the text file and you can copy/paste as normal.

I would be most grateful if someone can advise me (in laymans terms) what can I safely delete?

I notice reference to Zonealarm, which I thought I had deleted.

    Alternative solution.
Click on ctrl-alt-del => open task manager => note down CPU Usage % at bottom of popup. If no high CPU usage .exe exists, then continue Hijack this method.

CPU usage is between 4% and 11%
    Firefox uses most at 08.
    Physical Memory 35%

    Thanks

Best get the terms right first. DELETING is simply pressing DEL (or right clicking and selecting DEL) on a file/folder and it deletes it
UNINSTALLING is the computer running an uninstall program that removes most (Should be all, but rarely is) of a whole program

    UNINSTALL -
    VUSE toolbar
    MSN toolbar
    ZONEALARM toolbar
CONDUIT toolbar (the conduit engine may well be a part of the VUSE toolbar)
