Perhaps you would like to adopt a less confrontational and patronising attitude that is generally demonstrated each and every time you post, including the 'snookered' comments earlier in this thread in which you made a lot of assumptions based on your own spending patterns not necessarily that of others.

Now play nicely or sit on the naughty step, tch, tch, :rotfl:

Sadly you totally missed the "snookered" analogy, went straight over your head and you never even blinked.

Someone asked earlier about HOW TO MAXIMISE the DTD Price check offer.

When you're "snookered" you usually have the minimum of options available and at your disposal.

I did say IF "their T&Cs are correct and adhered to" - so without multiple email addresses and/or Clubcards registered at multiple homes, etc. etc., you've lost flexibility and somewhat committed yourself to a future path.

IIRC, You actually parted with over £100 and got a "full" £102 voucher back in a single transaction.

This risks up to the whole £100+ that ASDA's prices on any of your items have not increased whilst you were shopping or that Tesco decide to make them N/F on their PriceChecker (in REAL TIME) and therefore nothing to compare them with - so NO DTD.
Worse case NO DTD to calculate on the whole overall basket price and you've paid the much higher prices at Tesco that you were hoping & relying on to "make you money" whereas it could be just the opposite.
If this happens you've got the hassle of returning, if you can, anything too expensive or you don't actually want.

Furthermore, the £102 voucher means the Tesco shopping trip to redeem it also has to exceed this amount, and if you're attempting another DTD raid which you intend paying for with this voucher, then you pose the same "risk" highlighted above.

Now the worse case scenario (of nothing to DTD) is unlikely but JUST SUPPOSE one "high value" DTD item fails to work .....
eg BAILEYS at £19.99 - Asda just £10

    You've bought 2 bottles expecting 2 x 2 x £9.99 back in DTD - a total of £39.96
Either ASDA's put the price up or Tesco's Pricechecker can ONLY find the product at Sainsbury's OR it's not on Pricechecker at all.
Do you really want 2 bottles of Baileys at £20 each?
What do you do? You've ONLY found out that your DTD is £40 short of the expected amount AFTER you've submitted it for "analysis" and got your significantly reduced value voucher
You can't take the BAILEYS back for a refund because your receipt would no longer be valid for Voucher Redemption since it's not the "original" that was submitted for DTD calculation.
And I can't see them allowing a return on a receipt after the DTD voucher for it has been redeemed.

Now I'd call that "SNOOKERED" :)

and continuing .... "Someone asked earlier about HOW TO MAXIMISE the DTD Price check offer."

Smaller but multiple sequential shops redeeming a previous voucher MINIMISES WHAT'S AT RISK if one goes pear-shaped
Less items on a receipt reduces the scope for one to go wrong or for Tesco to "pull the plug" on something that really screws up the DTD, AND gives you a chance to maybe "UNDO" the problem (Returning all the receipt of 6 or 8 items must be easier, less hassle and more likely than 50 items surely)

My personal DTD of £100 has been spread over 3 receipts AND SPENT over 3 receipts (4 shopping trips in total over 4 days) and I've got the 4th voucher to spend next month.

I also took out a bit of INSURANCE that reduced the risk a little :) - Last Sunday's NEWS OF THE WORLD

FOUR copies (that cost me £0 - yes FREE) of the Money Off Conditional-Spend Coupon - Save £5 when you spend £30 at the Co-OP - SCANS AT TESCO - Valid to March 20

    SO :)

Sunday - £32 ish goods purchased - redemed NOTW £5 MOC - Cost me £27 ish in real cash - submitted for PriceCheck
    DTD voucher for £29.50 received

Monday - £35 ish goods purchased - redemed NOTW £5 MOC - redemed DTD £29.50 voucher - Cost me £1 ish in real cash - submitted for PriceCheck
    DTD voucher for £32.68 received

Tuesday - £39 ish goods purchased - redemed NOTW £5 MOC - redemed DTD £32.68 voucher - Cost me £2 ish in real cash - submitted for PriceCheck
    DTD voucher for £37.08 received

Wednesday - £44 ish goods purchased - redemed NOTW £5 MOC - redemed DTD £37.08 voucher - Cost me £2 ish in real cash

    Goods purchased - £150 worth
    MOCs used - £20 NotW
    DTD vouchers redeemed - 3 totalling £99.26
    Cash outlay - £32

Still to happen - Submit Wednesday's £44 receipt next month - Expected DTD around £40
Screen dumps of the cost of all items on PriceChecker taken in the event it isn't

So £32 bought me £150 worth of goodies AND I should still have a £40 voucher to spend next month :) etcetera :) etcetera :) ad infinitum :rotfl:

They were doing a similar thing yesterday talking about fraud....

You can tell they are important as they have a coloured font and everything

I'm sure you, like me and everyone else here, would like Tesco to continue with this DTD Price Check offer for as long as possible.

The post in question was regards someone being refused the redemption of DTD vouchers, one of the reasons given that the "receipt was out of date", and the poster had already said that it was "a month old". They later posted that they had submitted some old reciepts into the price checker to see what DTD might be offered.
I was suggesting that presenting a receipt dated TWO WEEKS BEFORE the actual DTD Price Check offer came into existance would have been rather suspicious and easily considered a "fraudulent" redemption if it was dated before 28th Feb.

And you're only the 3rd person to comment on the coloured font in almost 7 years and 7,500 posts :)
    Thank you

Does it take into account Asda's multiple buy offers, for example, John Frieda shampoo is 3 for £10 at Asda, and £5-£5.50 in Tesco, so if I bought 3 in tesco would they honour Asda's offer and give a voucher for say 3 x £5.50 = £16.50, so voucher for £13.00?

This is correct. All offers are taken into consideration :) Happy shopping :)

Sorry to sound perhaps daft but what does "n/f" mean?

Original Source XXX Mint shower gel is £1 as asda £2 at tesco

If I buy just say 3 of these and nothing else then I would be paid £3 to take them away? Is this right? seems to good to be true so perhaps even though I have looked at this thread for hours I have got it all wrong lol

I was checking for vanilla extract and it is £2 plus different in price in tesco more than asda but on the price checker it comes up as this n/f which I am assuming is bad news and means it wouldn't work on that product is that right?

    thanks

n/f means not found. basically not one of the supposed 9,000 items they compare. Don't buy anything with n/f as you won't get anything back.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Using your example ( I haven't price checked this item myself). If you bought 3 bottles of the original source shower gel at tesco it'd cost you £6 initially. When tesco price check it they'd see that it would've cost you £3 meaning you would've been £3 cheaper at asda. They will double the difference (£3 x 2 = £6) meaning you'd see a full return on your initial investment and basically get the items for free but no profit as you indicated previously. I hope that helps :)
