That is if you are using a credit/debit card and clubcard. I have noticed a lot of people mentioning that they only use cash and not their clubcard! I guess that way they feel they can beat the system without being traced?

yes, cash works fine along with their false mustache or balaclava that they use to deceive the cctv..

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

I did my shop and submitted my receipt before 10am this morning, when the max was £100 not £20.

They should honour it as they were the T&Cs when I entered my receipt.

Anyone else submitted their receipts this morning?

    Hi All,
Been following this thread all the way though up to today.
I have my first dtd voucher for £53, and read that maybe it would be capped at £20.
So off i drove to Tesco ( 15 miles away ) fully prepared for maybe being told that i could not use it for the full amount.
What i wasnt prepared for was, when handing over my voucher to the sales assistant, she shouted to another sales assistant, who came marching over, looked at my voucher and said she would have to take it to the manager. ( I also had original receipt )
I asked the till lady why she thought this was, she smirked and shrugged her shoulders.
By now i have a massive queue behind me, all tutting and sighing.
The assistant came back and informed me in a very loud voice, that the manager refused to accept the voucher as it was clearly a forgery.
I asked to see the manager but i was told that she was busy.
By now i was mortified and very close to tears.
The till lady said will you be paying for this shopping or not.
I mustered what dignity i had left and told her to stuff the shopping!
I managed to get to the car before bursting into tears.
Then the red mist came down.
I marched back into the shop and demanded off a very young boy, the customer services number.
I rang them up, and between sobbing and crying, told them
    what had happened.
He took the details and assured me the voucher i had was genuine.
He rang up the store, then rang me back to say he had worded the manager and would i like to go back in and finish my shopping.
You can guess what i said!!!
Anyway the upshot is that i am getting a £20 gift card, and can use my voucher.
But it wont be at that shop!!
Nothing they offer me can make p for being called a thief in front of a queue of customers
Sorry this is so long winded for a first post.

OMG :eek::eek::eek: how awful, you really should make a fuss, I know you said that you are not a confrontational person but that is really terrible. The manager should be disciplined!!!!! :(

there must be someone on here who has used a voucher twice. or is noone willing to admitt it.

the voucher isnt marked in any way to the receipt. i got the receipt in a different tesco yesterday and used it tonight.

GOLFER - please give it a rest. I have categorically NOT used any DTD voucher twice and nor do I plan to. Same goes for the vast majority of posters on this thread.

There's exploiting Tesco stupidity/loopholes legally (which we will do all day long), and there's fraud. Which is a criminal offence. Why would you even attempt it?????:eek::eek:

Just been to Tesco with my £110.46 voucher, was ready for a big arguement. The cashier did not even have a clue what it was so had to call the manager over to show her how to put it through. It then turned out i hadn't spent enough so was told to go grab more stuff to bring it up to the total of the voucher. £111.92 shop cost me £1.46....yipeeeeee:j
