I asked for mine back, the girl said that she had to keep it but printed me a copy to take home.
I had a shop telling me they were gonna keep my receipt, so I simply left my shopping. The team 5 (staff internal mail) telling them what to do with the vouchers tells them to mark the receipt and hand it back to the customer. In another store who wanted to keep it I told them this and they went and checked and confirmed yes they don't need the receipt.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Cor blimey wota tado at shopping tonight!! I spent £77.60. Then minus 3x 50p & a £1 coupon for products Id bought, a £5 off notw voucher & £43.72 DTD which I have got by totally sticking to the rules from a previous home delivery. ( I thought id do some damage limitation with any embarrassment I might get caused using the coupons & saved them for what I thought was going to be a quiet quick shop )
No chance of that. At 1st the woman said they dont except the "safe coupons " Id printed this morning off supersavvy...by woman I obviously mean the other woman that the sales assistant had to call over ....You know..the one that makes me, my unimpressed teenage son & the 6 long, tutting queue, wait 10 minutes to grant us with her presence. Anyway. After deciding that now they do take these vouchers after all she then refused the co-op NOTW £5 off outright. No way do they take coupons from another store.oh no!.....Ah. well, actually..2nd thoughts we could just check if it does scan, maybe we might now accept them....ah yeh, looks like we do....And then after 3 bags ( my own big bags might I add that I never gota a green, blue or bonus c.c point for ) of had shopping been routed through to check I really did buy wedges airfreshener & kitchen roll we get to the biggy DTD voucher. No problems. She was sceptical if the delivery note was original for some reason but compared to the rest it sailed through...oh but there was no way I was then entitled to keep my receipt from it. To the relief of the ever growing sighing queue at 10.30pm I just thought keep it love. She was just so sour from the start. Maybe she dont realise she too is allowed £100 p/p pcm back in vouchers!!
Well that feels better to get that off my chest. I think I will give shopping a miss tomorrow and try my luck at bingo instead! G'nite all!:D0 -

If they "sign your new receipt", thereby not permitting you to use it for a further claim then the Price Check Offer only gives you on average "one times the difference back" over two shops, not Double The Difference.
eg first shop of £100, assume A prices would be £60, hence £80 DTD voucher. Buy the same basket of £100 the next day, use voucher for £80, net cost £20. Total for two Tesco baskets would be £100 plus £20, a total of £120, EXACTLY the same as those two baskets would have cost at Asda!
The only way to avoid that is to do a focussed shop (DTD Bargains) for first shop and then buy Tesco bargains in the second shop.Money Saving Fan.0 -
I've had absolutely no problems using my vouchers. I used one for a Kindle and two towards shopping, on different days and in different shops. SAs have always checked it with a supervisor but each one has been thrilled for me if somewhat bemused by the amount. (Apart from the Kindle one which was £90+, they were around £50 each.) Even the supervisors have been great. Tonight was funny. I got anxious about wine because the prices only thread (I think it was there) is saying Martin might tell the world about this tomorrow. So thought I had better go out and get some wine. So I did three shops, one with six bottles of wine, one with Martini, Nivea and shampoo, and one with normal shopping -- I used the DDT voucher with that one. Lovely SA was somewhat confused by my not wanting to use the Clubcard on the first two, which I said was for neighbours. But when I presented the DDT voucher, she registered what I was doing and was lovely and very funny about it. She said she wanted some wine too, so I told her what to get, told her to check ASDA's website and told her about the Herbal Essence shampoo too. The supervisor was fine about the voucher and when I said I wanted to keep the receipt, she was OK about that as well, explaining to the SA that if the customer doesn't want the receipt, then they keep it because it makes things marginally easier for them.
I was particularly glad to have had such a good experience tonight as it's my local Tesco and they were horrible in the days of the money-off vouchers. Mind you, the new Sainsbury's £4 off a £20 spend voucher didn't work there tonight. Supervisor said she couldn't overwrite it but would mention it to the powers that be in the morning.0 -

I should make myself clear: I have used vouchers to get vouchers, and hope to do so again. However, if they stop me I can't really complain since they have added to their T&Cs that they can refuse to serve you if they feel you're abusing the scheme.
Someone on the other thread at <this forum>/showthread.php?t=3064830&page=46 (I'm a new user, so can't hyperlink) points out that these are new changes, so maybe its worth keeping all the vouchers relatively small - just in case they choose to refuse them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As the till opens and they put the money in, your receipt prints. Mine is safely in my posession by the time they close the till.0 -

A funny thing then happened, the guy behind had a trolley full of Turner wine/Nivia/razors/gin...... oh yes it was my hubby looking all
I just couldn't resist...... :rotfl:
