Firstly hi, new to the forum - found it whilst trying to find a new way of finding DTD links after they closed the comparison site.

Someone a few pages back was saying that they're not allowed to sign your receipt or similar to stop you using a voucher to get a voucher etc. However, I had a quick look through the T&Cs again, and noticed the annoying little line:

    36. Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher.

"abusing the spirit" - Surely that means that we've not got any leg to stand on if they complain?

    Also,
    8. No correspondence will be entered into and no refunds will be given for products not being matched on Price Check.

So yeh, according to the T&Cs I don't think you should make much of a fuss about it!

That said, they still say the price comparison site will be updated daily, not removed because it showed how you can make money!

oh dear, this has been posted many times, and comes up as N/F on the pricechecker, so don't expect a voucher anytime soon.

Asda's mentions Sauvignon, Tesco's doesn't. Hardys website doesn't list Tesco as a supplier of the Chard/Sauv, so the Tesco is a pure Chard.

    Different wines = No DTD.

I got this. Bought on Tuesday, voucher came today:

    3 x HARDYS CREST CABERNET SHIRAZ MERLOT 75CL £ 31.47 £ 14.34

Sorry about large font -- copied from web. The £31.47 was what I paid in Tesco, the £14.34 was the ASDA equivalent.

Went around Tesco like a mad woman today. Wanted to spend a voucher on non-DDT stuff and load of what I wanted was cheaper in ASDA! Bizarre...

Well back from my shop (not just!). I've noticed a few in from Blackpool  I choose Chorley to redeem my £100 voucher. He took it no problems but called someone over as they were querying the time on the voucher?? She replied as long as every thing else matched it was ok as it had been doing that all day.

A funny thing then happened, the guy behind had a trolley full of Turner wine/Nivia/razors/gin...... oh yes it was my hubby looking all :o

    I just couldn't resist...... :rotfl:
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

Depends on if you think "abusing the spirit" is some form of legal terminology. Personally I think its complete pap and just tesco rattling their cans in the wind, hoping to worry people.

You'll have to excuse me now though, I bought some VERY expensive Glenfiddich 12 year old whisky from Tesco today and have some serious "spirit abusing" to do. :rotfl:

Agreed, I'm not going to let it change how I shop.
Just thinking that if they sign your new receipt then you really can't complain (although I'm sure inside I'd be fuming).

Anyone know if there is any Nivea left in a Manchester store ?? and turners road for that matter
    Thanks

Nivea in Prestwich but I am afraid I got the last 5 bottles of Turner's Road this evening! Found it very easily as the space on the shelf was almost empty, just five bottles lurking at the very back of the shelf. Left some Nivea though...

i certainly didnt complain when he signed my receipt, but my new shop was all bogofs or half price or (would have been the same as asda ), Im not that daft!! If it was more turner road then that would have been a different story!!!!
