    Hi
If Martin is possibly mentioning this tomorrow should we be spending our DTD vouchers today?

The voucher has an expiry date (28 days)so even if Mr T pulls the DTD I am sure they will honour any vouchers up to the expiry date.

There is going to be a mad rush out to Tesco's tonight if this is the case! If it is this he is going to mention, remember this is only speculation, then I am sure you will have a couple of days to allow the rest of the nation to catch up with us!;)

I can't see martin mentioning which exact wine to buy, infact I don't think he will mention much about this offer, as is it is not guaranteed that you will get DTD on anything as prices change constantly. And I'm sure that if he does mention certain products, before the programme is even over tesco will have changed the price and updated their system. Surely he knows that will happen, so cant see him risking it

How on earth is martin going to explain to the nation about this tomorrow, there is no surefire way to say these are the items that are cheaper as we well know and Tesco have no consistency regarding ones they include. He may mention that tesco have the dtd scheme but he wont be telling anyone how to exploit it, I can guarantee you that. If people mess up on his advice it will look really bad on him and cause waaaay to much confusion, people keep asking the same questions on here even though it explains it in the first post, people who don't use the forums wont have access to that info. Having said that it's not the first time he has ended a promo before it was ready...

He could explain how to go about it just like we have been doing on here, it really is not that complicated!

    Hi

I think you will still get to spend the DTD vouchers, but (1) all the good stuff will fly off the shelves, (2) Tesco may impose extra T&Cs such as not allowing us to get DTD on a shop where we have used a DTD voucher, and (3) the promo may be pulled altogether.

Regarding signing new receipts so that you can't get DTD on a shop where you have used a DTD voucher, I don't really have a problem with this but they should let us know BEFORE we pay. Otherwise I'm sure most of us wouldn't want to complete the transaction!!!

For me, in this situation, I would rather go round and stock up on stuff that is actually cheaper in Tesco! I don't want to buy a load of overpriced stuff in T only to get a DTD voucher in the first place, only to be tricked into spending my precious DTD voucher on more overpriced stuff!!!! Does that make sense?

  • Got my lamb, Plymouth lovely gin, cornettos, kit kats, cheerios some salad, milk and bananas which I new were the same or a tiny difference with mr A. Glad I mixed it up though because I'd forgotten my purse  and they had to keep it at cs for me to come back. Still managed to get a £30 dtd voucher back from last night mini shop. Plus do the kitkats go to 2 for £2 today? Cos I got 2 lots of different types last night. There are still loads of stuff to be had at my store but I can see they are getting ready for a massive bargain blitz for customers to have in response to this present campaign. Plus has anyone seen the dtd tv ad recently on tv during the fleeting moments when we aren't on this thread or instore shopping? I have seen however buy 1 get 2 free on tv :rotfl:

Agreed. It's not even in his email, I doubt he would announce it on tv.

Agreed, it would be quite simple to do it and they dont even have to worry about changing SEL's as they wouldnt be overcharging.

It really will be game over, as i remember from the good old days of coupons, we were having a great time with them, then one mention of them from Martin :money: to the nation and Tesco stopped us using them by the end of the week, anyone else remember 'black friday' well i'm sure that will happen again with this promotion, so if anyone could contact him and ask him reeeeally nicely to keep quiet, this should last a bit longer!!

    'black friday' ???
