  • Was going to do a shop tomorrow and include the Turner Road wine. Looked on Tesco website and it is still £9.99. Has anyone else found it reduced? Also, did the Hardys Cabernet Shiraz Merlot work out okay on the price check, as the wording is not exactly the same as Asda's website. Thanks
  • I bought turner road chardonnay this morning and it came up as £9.99 still

Well went again today after promising myself I wouldn't bother, but it took me a few minutes to get my list sorted so I thought I would take dd with me, big mistake really lol

Two manager types were talking about removing all items they could identify as being big losses off the shelfs. She says walking past with gilette razors and roasting trays ;)

When I got to the till they were happy to take the voucher if I had a clubcard, I said it was at home, distracted by my dd who was whinging (don't blame her!) Then she wanted the email part which shows the comparison list to confirm that it was correct, presented it no problems, then she said 'we have to keep your receipt as we are monitoring these vouchers very carefully'. I explained she didn't need it but said she could have it anyway as I was in a rush.

Not a sight of the nivea anymore or the hardy's crest, probably for the best mind!

Bought roasting trays, comfort strawberry and gillette razors, all of these are still ok aren't they?

  • Just did the sums to see if the Russian Standard or Smirnoff Red Label Vodka worked as the best value, well the answer is there is only 10p in it, Russian Standard works out at the equivalent of £11.47 per litre (thought this is the 700ml bottle) compared to the Smirnoff at £11.57

    Russian Standard 700ml 8.03 after DTD (works out at 11.47 per litre) - T 13.97 A 11.00
    Smirnoff 1lt 11.57 after DTD - T 20.43 A 16.00

There you have it, at least now you won't be wondering, you'll have options if one is out of stock, or you wanted a smaller / large bottle. :)

p.s. seriously guys, we should be worried if Martin :money: is going to talk about this on Daybreak. I would say it's game over for all of us if he does. :(:(

AND if he mentions one of the wines that has changed price today, there are going to be a LOT of angry people when they get their price check results!

It really will be game over, as i remember from the good old days of coupons, we were having a great time with them, then one mention of them from Martin :money: to the nation and Tesco stopped us using them by the end of the week, anyone else remember 'black friday' well i'm sure that will happen again with this promotion, so if anyone could contact him and ask him reeeeally nicely to keep quiet, this should last a bit longer!!

If you zoom in and read the label on the bottle in the link above it actually says Cabernet-Shiraz-Merlot, so it is exactly the same wine! I've had DTD on about 7 bottles! :T:T
