  • I went in Monday night and bought:

    2 Baileys
6 Banrock red (and got 5% off for buying 6)
    1 monster munch 6 pack
1 Pantene Ice Shine large shampoo
    1 large box After 8's
    1 Box Pampers Simply Dry

I put the receipt in as soon as I got home and 12 hours later, received a DTD voucher through for £112.something.
I havn't been to spend it yet, but have that, and a few other little £5.something vouchers to use as well(from old shopping receipts).

Also went back yesterday with my grandma and she bought
    6 wine
    1 baileys
which i have put the receipts through last night (for her) and am waiting for the DTD vouchers.

And OH went in on his way home from work yesterday and bought 6 Banrock for his work.

All used different clubcards (for different people), so hopefully will work as well as the first one did! No idea why its given us £112 though, thought the limit was £100?! Not moaning though, thats lots of Christmas presents sorted

kerrymay - you would get back dtd as long as youve checked both t & a site this morning as well as price checker, but then youd ave same items twice, if thats what you want, but you would in theory be paying more for them in asda. ie if item £1 is asda and £1.75 in tesco you would get back 2 x 75p =£1.50 so tescos item is 50p so dearer to get at asdas £1. hope this makes sense

Yep, that makes sense! I was hoping to bypass the checking the websites part and just go by the prices instore as i would be going to both anyway. I see what you mean about them costing more, wouldn't bother me about having the same thing twice as it would only be stuff like cereal I'd go for which we are always going to eat but yeah, I see what you mean I'd save more by NOT buying in Asda and just buying in Tesco. I feel like I used to feel in maths classes at school!!

So I HAVE to check the websites first, you can't just note down the prices instore. I think!

yes because its the pricechecker that tesco use so if the item is cheaper in asda but isnt listed on the pricechecker it wont work
try this link from previous thread

Are the clubcards registered to different addresses? As its done on a £100 per household basis.

  • This is an absolute lottery - just checked the Montana wine and its says on pricechecker its 8.99 at T and 5.00 at Asda but on Tesco website it's now 6.99. Also I was told by Asda that the online prices are not necessarily the prices in store so that could be complete pot luck. Not sure I'm brave enough to try this - it's a bit like standing on shifting sand.
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

The tesco price checker site clearly states the date the prices were checked.

You should always check the asda prices on the asda groceries website and the tesco prices on the tesco groceries site if you do that its pretty much fool proof, you just need to make sure the items in question show up on the tesco pricecheck site.

Can people stop posting up messages about what time they submitted their receipt etc it helps no one really and just clutters up the thread.

It clearly states it can take upto 36 hours, if anyone has had to wait over 36 hours then its worth mentioning.
