But they would not be valid receipt details. And any member of staff could quite easily phone HO or imput the details into their system and clearly see something had been tampered with.

Can people please stop going on and on about such things. There is no point in trying to bend the rules. We are already getting stuff for free ..what more does anyone want????

Its not bending the rules, its breaking the law, but what I am saying is that it is easily do-able.

The receipt on the bottom of the voucher is only a set of corresponding numbers that prove a shop was compared (and in the fiddle, the compare didn't result in a large DTD, even though the voucher suggests otherwise), and doesn't get used when you encash the DTD so unless they did check out your suspiciousness, then it would likely work.

My point was to highlight that some people WILL do illegal things if they are made easy enough for them, and that could kill the scheme for the rest of us.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Hi everyone from a very Newbie!!
I have been following all your posts since Thursday and have consequently had two very successful trips to Tesco and I am awaiting the results of two further trips!
I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the trouble and spent the time in posting the results of their shopping trips and the price checking information they have found off the Tesco and Asda websites.
A great big kiss to every one of you, (when you have put your glasses of wine down and have finished stuffing your faces with After Eight mints!!!!
When I receive my next vouchers I will also contribute in the hope of helping other people.
    THANK YOU!

Why didn't you keep the definite DTD items with the first shop then the query ones in a seperate shop-don't they pick 10 random items to compare? what if they pick 10 that aren't cheaper

ps there are coupons for cushelle loo roll in the tesco magazine

Because for that shop I paid using a £90 voucher, and didnt want to take the mess and get another £90 voucher out of it, so wanted to lower my DTD, but still get a nice amount. Also, when I got my £90 voucher they compared all 31 items, all of which I got DTD back on... got abit carried away with my DTD shop that time (but it's not hard as only had 31 items in the trolley so wasn't expecting it come to £95  )

So yeah just didnt wanna take the mess with DTD again

Ok, I've been reading this thread and I'm thinking of getting some Olay stuff tomorrow. If I check the prices on the asda and tesco sites before I leave and it's still cheaper at asda- would I be safe to buy some and submit my receipt for a DTD? I think I'm finally getting my head round it all now! Any confirmations/tips will be gratefully received! :)

Need to know something here, im having a little guilt trip. I remember and enjoyed the days of R&R, but this last week ive been going into my local Ts using my vouchers and have gotten friendly with the young lad on checkout, up to the point where i ask him when hes on shift next so i can shaft Ts again. My problem is hes proper sound and never marks the reciept so basically i could take my stuff back after getting DTD. Is there anyway Ts are going to say "Weve got a right gonk here, sack him hes costing us money" i would hate to think he would take a bullet while im taking advantage of this very generous offer.

How do you know that they dont input the receipt details at a later time? The voucher doesnt just disappear when they put it into to the till drawer
  • I apologise if this question has already been asked, but hunting for an answer in nearly 200 pages just isn't the ticket.

If I buy on-line for delivery tomorrow, does it take today's prices on the price check?
  • Are you looking at this one?

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=250137064

My local had at least twenty bottles still on the shelf, I almost felt sorry for them, sitting there all unloved, unwanted. May have to go back and rehome them to a loving home ;)

Yeah, thats the one i am looking at and bought in store.

    it states
Sorry, this product is currently unavailable.

also doesnt give me the price, i had to check on here to make sure i picked the right one whilst in store!

    thank you
