Quick question for you guys :) I have already had my £100 limit this month but does this mean I shouldn't submit any receipts this month or simply not spend another voucher until April? Eg could I stock up on the la gioiosa wine, submit my receipt and then not spend until nearer it's expiry in April or do I have to wait and actually buy the stuff in April? Sorry if that sounds daft! :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

It appears that Tesco are not implementing the £100 side, as they are still sending out vouchers??

  • Just a quick point - have taken advantage of this offer and been really pleased to receive a couple of big dtd vouchers - over £ 60 x 2 - thanks all who post. However, Tesco have also benefitted from over £200 of my actual CASH which would have been spent elsewhere - I never normally shop in Tesco. So I guess it's win win for all.

I have received a voucher too for biscuits and cereal purchases earlier in the month. It has made me focus ore on checking prices in the future though as I always accepted that the two supermarkets were broadly similar in cost.
I am shocked at what a big difference people have found in certain items - gin for example.
When i took my relateively small voucher in to use and explained it to the check out girl, I had quite an audience in the queue discovering as i had done that their shop may have been cheaper in Asda - overall, I don't think this has done Tesco as much good as they had anticipated.
As for the moral of this directed shopping - all power to the internet and this website which allows the sahring of information. After all - I believe Mr Tesco has a lot of info about my finances and purchasing power and I believe he shares this with others.

I have to say though Asda are not cheaper outright for absolutely everyone.....

In the year i have been using mysupermarket for us as a couple Tesco is cheaper nearly everytime...(which came as a huge surprise as we naively thought like many here that Asda were cheaper hence shopping there for years)

Our normal shop last week was cheaper than Asda for example...You can't go around saying to everyone Asda is definately cheaper as it depends on what you buy and how many you buy for...

and we have to take into account that whilst our shopping has been cheaper at Tesco we also have a hotel break for 3 nights using reward vouchers, Asda have no loyalty scheme....

    Supermarkets have been busy overnight.
The list I did on my supermarket yesterday evening has updated, and some items now pricematched to Asda or cheaper in Tesco. Asda have put some of their prices up to match Tesco!
Ooooooh! Soon everything will cost the same in both stores.

EDIT Watch out for cat food, lots of prices matched, or Tesco cheaper!

You are quite correct BUT it wasn't us who said Tesco were cheaper - Tesco did!!

Thanks everyone for this great thread - can anyone let me know Customer Services number, as my voucher has come in, and some items have been rejected, and I know they are still cheaper in Asda. I've seen it somewhere in this tread, but it's now 160 pages long! Thanks a lot.
