Don't get me wrong, I love this promotion, but there are plenty who seem to think it's OK to spend, say £70, claim a voucher for £70 and repeat the same shopping trip ad infinitum. That's not right.this is really helping us out as hubby is self employed & lately things haven't been good

Why isn't it right? I cannot see why if Tesco are so sure they are cheaper than Asda they should put a limit on it anyway. They obv are not that confident of their promise or it would be unlimited no of claims and amount.
Do you really think the few hundred quid people are getting back in vouchers from Tesco is going to make a difference to them? It may howwever make a diff to the people who are buying the stuff and sure brightens the day and makes people forget about their probs for a while. Chill out and let everyone play the game how they want to and if some get more than others, lucky them;)Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

so i take it now we just have to risk it, i doubt the price checker is coming back, and screenshots are not reliable, so i guess its now down to checking whats cheaper in asda and hoping the honour it!0

By 'Voucher Woman', I presume she is a previously 'known' customer who was, what, caught trying to use home made vouchers? Something like that? And I get the impression from what you've said that 'Voucher Woman' is doing what I describe in my first paragraph.
The fact is that many people took advantage of Tesco's old policy where you could pay for all your shopping in vouchers/coupons. As long as they were in date and Tesco stocked the products the vouchers were for, whether you bought the items the coupons were for or not, was a real source of problems with the staff at tesco. They seemed to resent the few people that were aware of the policy and took full advantage of it, and I know of instances where people would actively avoid certain staff who were known to be, shall we say, 'difficult'. If you got one of those on the till you went to, you were made to feel like a criminal, with lots of questions about the validity of perfectly innocent coupons, such as those cut from newspapers etc. So the 'voucher woman' reference used by little miss tesco is not surprising! Old grudges rising to the surface one might say.

I've been following this thread with interest. I have always shopped at both Tesco and ASDA (and Sainsbury's and Morrisons) on the basis of buying the best offers each store has. Clearly some people are getting high value DTD from Tesco from this promotion but at the end of the day haven't you just bought a load of stuff you don't even want? And doesn't this cause you stress? ... it certainly would for me. Is the time spent on research worth it?
Personally, I worry that if I 'get involved', so to speak, with this promotion I would lose my eye for a bargain through looking to buy the most expensive items instead of the cheapest. I've noticed, particulary in the last year or so, there seems to be an attempt by supermarkets to confuse us as to what is a fair price for a product, with so many different types of promotions, and changing pack sizes, and this just adds further to the confusion. I'll use the pricechecker when my husband has been shopping but that's as far as it goes for me.0 -
Bit harsh there Human Being. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is nothing wrong with being loyal to the firm you work for.
It's not her/his fault the bosses have implemented a ridiculous/non-feasible/money wasting promotion. If it was me I would feel uncomfortable with my company giving free hand outs to all and sundry. I would be wondering if this would effect my companies ability to be profitable and whether this could effect my own job status. It is true that Tesco wll be able to take a financial hit better than most but she/he are only thinkin about there own position, same as we are when we go out and DTD:)0 -

I think 'Little Miss Tesco''s carefully calculated post has had the desired effect - divide and conquer. Please let's get back to thoughts on how we can get vouchers out of Tesco and show them for the company they are, the rest is basically meaningless in relation to this thread....0
