I couldn't have stood up more, half an hour of arguing, but they refused. I asked on what ground as per the t&c and they couldn't answer.

Made to feel like a criminal - be warned! Voucher was for over £50 :D as taken advantage of the wine offer.

Not sure what to do now as don't want to ring up and spoil it for anyone else

Was this your FIRST DTD voucher - i.e. did you pay on your previous receipt with all cash? If it was then you should have asked them to put you through to Head Office. They should have taken it. Complain if this is the case to Head Office (you might get a 'sorry' voucher and staff a reprimand) and go back there OR try another store.

Have you used a clubcard & gone over the £100 DTD limit? OR was another DTD voucher on the original receipt? If this is the case then don't use it until next month.

If we completely mess this up (or the Asda price increases while we are shopping) and find we've bought something we'd never have bought at the Tesco price, can we take non-perishable things back to Tesco for a refund? I thought you could with wine, spirits etc but does this apply to other things too?

Ive got a voucher for £80, if i bought a kettle & fryer (which i was going ot anyway) and then some others DTD items on top, would the purchase of my fryer & kettle make any difference to the total DTD received?

Thanks for that Rich44. Be careful if you're planning to buy the Baileys 1lt. For if the Tesco site is updated later today you're DTD will be reduced by £10.

I bought a bottle yesterday in tescos for 19.19

They have not E Mailed me back to confirm yet:(

Tesco must have to price check on Asda's price on Thursday ???

Can they say they price checked it today when it had gone up in Asda ??

I asked this yesterday when I bought batteries that were on the wrong part of the shelf. The answers I got were between yes, this should be no problem to not so friendly answers. If it was not a DTD item (mine isn't) and you can show that it wasn't (I'm not sure if that can be done?) then in theory it shouldn't affect your rights as long as they give you your receipt back. I'm sure each store will do things differently but for future shops it may be worth getting them to check prices etc before buying.

The price check is at the time on your receipt, not when they process it.

But is it the Asda price at the time of purchase or what the price checker thinks the Asda price is at the time of sale that's the crucial bit of information
