I've just used one for £40 on a £55 shop. It was one of my first ones so the receipt was a straight shop with no vouchers used to pay. Manager called over my shopping canx and I was guarded as she marched off somewhere to make a call. She said a voucher this high can't be right.
10 minutes later she returned saying, yes that's fine to use and a mumbled sorry!
I felt like I was about to be arrested!0 -
I have just done my first DTD shop so hopefully should get a DTD voucher for around £50 soon (most of my money back). All the items scanned in at the right prices apart from the Montana Sav Blanc Wine which they have dropped to £6.99 from £8.99 but still end up paying £3 for the bottle. Definately the best purchase will be the Baileys that scanned in fine
This scheme is going to come in very handy as I live on a very low income so this will really help out with our weekly shop.

Your voucher was £76, so what was over £100?
And who refused it, in-store or the receipt checker?

Worth complaining to head office about the fact that you were made to feel like you'd done something wrong because tesco can't live up to their price promiseCould be a compensatory voucher in it for ya!!

I think that perhaps the receipt used with the voucher maybe also showed payment using a previous DTD voucher for more than £24?
If that's the case it'll be filed under 'Customer extracting the urine' and rightly so.0 -

Sorry. Should have explained more.
I had a £75 voucher on my receipt, which i was trying to use against a new shop, along with my new £76 voucher.
so it seems if they do enforce the £100 limit, it is instore, rather than the website.
They also tried to query that somehow the time stamp had changed from 18:15 to 06:15. Eventually had 3 store managers up against me, so told them i would be back on the first of April. Then made a complaint about them. (I recorded the whole conversation. This helps)
One of the things that made it suspicious perhaps was the shopping was quite similar (2x baileys, 5x After Eights + various cereal)0
